Pump By-Pass Valves give you on/off control of the required minimum water flow for cooling of the centrifugal pumps when the main descale system does not have a demand for water spray. Pressure Breakdown Orifices

A Pressure Breakdown Orifice is required to control the fluid flow rate for pump minimum by-pass flow. This orifice is located at the pump discharge, prior to the pump by-pass valve. Hunt Pressure Breakdown Orifices are individually designed for the proper pressure drop and flow rate requirements recommended by the pump manufacturer.
