Our Engineering expertise is extremely valuable when it comes to remanufacturing a valve. Our many years of experience and the skills of our engineers and craftsman are put to use when the product is evaluated. This process starts by evaluating the component and determining the root cause of any excessive wear or damage. Key components are inspected using non-destructive testing and dimensional inspections to evaluate their condition. As the OEM, we are experts at determining the best course of action to obtain the maximum useful life of the component while minimizing the risk for future downtime from old or worn parts. This expertise is available because as the OEM we know the design basis as well as the component and system limitations. Occasionally, Hunt is able to provide recommendations to system operating procedures to improve the component life and overall system performance.

Our expertise is especially valuable to our customers when we apply it to your product. Many repair shops simply clean up the original hardware, smooth out worn surfaces, throw in a new set of seals, apply a fresh coat of paint and call the end product a “refurbished” valve. This method has a significant risk with respect to the safety, reliability and overall performance of the refurbished component.
