Rotary Joints

Hunt has the engineering capability to create specialty hydraulic products that require the unique design versatility of non-standard products such as Rotary Joints. A Rotary Joint is usually a one-off design that is specific to the individual customer application. The Rotary Joint product can be as simple as a single pass unit to a complex multi stage unit with up to 22-passes.

The Rotary Joint is a critical piece of equipment in the steel making process. They are located in the hot metal mill at the BOF, continuous caster ladle turret, and the AOD. Any failure at this end of the mill can lead to downtime creating a major outage throughout the entire mill line.

Hunt has produced rotary joints for over 50 years. We have used this experience to continue to develop our product technology during this time. Today Hunt has the expertise to redesign and up-grade an existing unit into a more efficient and reliable product and take advantage of the material and seal technology available today.
